Abi (she/her) is based in based in Silver Spring, MD, occupying Piscataway Canoy, Nacotchtank (Anacostan) lands.

Abi Bulus is a people-centric HR & Strategic Operations leader with over a decade of experience leading diverse people operations teams in professional services, biotechnology and tech fields. She has served as a credible advisor to senior leadership teams, providing data-driven recommendations that translate business strategy into innovative, value-added people solutions.

As a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Abi brings a wealth of expertise elevating organizations through organizational development, talent management, employee relations and employee engagement. Her proven track record includes building HR functions from the ground up, spearheading the expansion of global workforces, and managing HRIS implementation projects from system selection, through onboarding and training users.

Abi's dedication to professional development and corporate ethics is evident through continuous learning and certifications, including an HR Management and Analytics certificate from Wharton School of Business and a master’s degree in International Development.

Her goal is to create meaningful change through her work, while consistently grounding her efforts in empathy, honesty and integrity.


What is your favorite season?

Summer! The warmer temps and sunshine are definitely mood boosters for me.

What is your favorite food?

Nigerian fried rice and chicken.

What is your favorite genre of books or movies?

Any film about Norsemen and Vikings.


Which HENSLEE value do you connect with most?

My favorite HENSLEE value is keep it wavy. Working with various clients means that I need to be flexible, agile and willing to pivot as required. It also means I need to be able to understand their needs quickly and deliver value. As a consultant, I have come to embrace the ever-evolving environment and find my peace.
