Maddy (she/her) is based in San Diego, California, occupying Kumeyaay/Kumiais land.

I’m Maddy Castillo (she/her), a People Leader at HENSLEE. I've enjoyed every minute of my 20+ year career, from being hire #7 at a startup in 1999 to my deep involvement in a pioneering cannabis company’s IPO. My experience spans many industries and several continents, including SaaS, VR, fintech, biotech, edutech, e-learning, non-profit, retail, and fitness. I am a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on, lead-by-example People Operations expert who genuinely loves the HR field, and it shows.

If it’s about the mob, I’m here for it!

What is your favorite season?

Without a doubt, especially after the super hot San Diego summer, autumn is my favorite and very welcome season!

What is your favorite food?

Olives! Put ‘em on your fingers, make a tapenade, toss ‘em in a salad! Bring on the olives!
